(Bottled in 1987) The nose is elegant, fine and finely powerful. It reveals notes of lemon, tea and fine notes of tangerine associated with a hint of applesauce, wood, spicy, rancio and a discreet hint of walnuts. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, silky and offers freshness and a nice acid frame. In mouth this Porto expresses notes of caramel, marmalade, lemon and honey combined with fine notes of apple, caramelized wood as well as a discreet touch of tea. Good length. The finish is relatively powerful.
