The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is gourmand, concentrated, with a clear and dominant minerality at the beginning (dry stone, limestone). Then, it expresses the herbaceous and floral aromas (dried aromatic herbs – dried mint, dried rosemary, a very delicate touch of laurel, dried rose, a hint of cornflower and peony), complemented by notes of liquorice, white pepper, grated nutmeg, as well as toasted hazelnut, wrapped in a juicy fruitiness (crushed morello cherry, wild strawberry, raspberry, sour red cherry). The palate has a fruity attack, gourmand, even sweet, but balanced by a good fruity bitterness (fresh cherry, bergamot) and cocoa. It then expresses the flavors of morello cherry, sour red cherry, strawberry and cranberries in the background (even cranberry syrup), associated with notes of roasting more pronounced than on the nose (toasted bitter almond, toasted hazelnut), aromatic herbs (dried rosemary, dried mint, a touch of dried pine needles), flowers (dried rose, peony, cornflower) and sweet spices (liquorice, nutmeg). Tannins are tight, solid and grippy, balanced by a salivating acidity. Good length with a precise and gourmet note of juicy red cherry (even stewed). A structured and fresh wine, still very young.
