The nose is aromatic and offers plenitude, a certain concentration, a stretched side and depth. The wine needs to be decanted. It reveals notes of concentrated blackberry, concentrated cassis and small notes of Sichuan pepper, associated with touches of rosemary, cocoa nibs, wild berries, juniper berries, a hint of crushed redcurrant, black olive, zan and discreet vanilla. The palate is fruity, juicy, suave and offers a mineral frame, gourmandise of fruit, a certain fatness, roundness, fine straightness, a beautiful structure as well as juiciness. In mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cassis, cherry and small notes of crushed redcurrant, combined with touches of plum, fine hints of thyme, almost blood orange, chocolate, toasted hazelnut and black olive. Pretty hints of fresh-licorice on the nose and palate. A nice mineral hint on the persistence.
