The nose is aromatic and offers fruit, a floral and finely sappy side, a fine depth and austerity. It expresses notes of violet, wisteria and more slightly – boysenberry, associated with touches of roasted raspberry, as well as fine hints of cornflower and fine hints of Ceylon tea, fresh pepper and a discreet hint of infusion. The palate is nicely carried, fresh, with a nice sappy frame, good definition, fine tension. It expresses notes of crunchy raspberry, wisteria/lilac and more slightly – juicy/fresh blackberry associated with touches of fresh spices, infusion, as well as black tea, toast, a hint of mocha in the background. Good length, mellow finish and small texture on the finish/persistence. The tannins are savoury.
