The nose is fruity, elegant, racy and offers power and concentration. It reveals notes of wild blackberries and very ripe wild strawberries combined with small hints of small wild berries, slight hints of liquorice, cardamom as well as a hint of graphite and spices. The palate is fruity, mineral, well-balanced and offers a beautiful definition, a good fineness of the grain, a fine acidulous frame, tension as well as precision. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy boysenberry, cassis and small notes of plum associated with small touches of small wild berries, discreet touches of flowers as well as a discreet hint of local grove / sense of place and a subtle hint of licorice. Tannins are fine and elegant. Good persistence.
