The nose is aromatic, racy and offers energy as well as a fine smoky side. It reveals notes of blackberry, fleshy strawberry and small notes of smoke associated with touches of roasted red berries as well as a hint of graphite, pepper and crushed plum. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, suavity, an acidulous structure, minerality, a beautiful texture/velvety touch, precision, finesse as well as a certain generosity and precision. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, roasted blackcurrant and small notes of acidulous/ripe strawberry associated with touches of chocolate, star anise, hints of sweet spices as well as a subtle hint of black olive, toasted and with a very discreet hint of saffron (in the background). Tannins are supple and elegant. A certain chewiness on the finish/persistence. Presence of an imperceptible hint of vanilla on the persistence.
