The nose is beautifully built, floral, elegant, racy and frank. It reveals notes of boysenberry, pulpy Quetsche plum and small notes of small bright blue fruits as well as a hint of roasted cherry as well as fine hints of flowers, smoke and blond tobacco. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, juiciness, an acidulous frame, good definition, gourmandize, precision, tension, acidulous, crunchiness as well as energy. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, pulpy Quetsche plum and small notes of violet associated with touches of small roasted-juicy fruits, fine hints of cornflower, star anise as well as a subtle almost sage and oceanic hint. The tannins are soft and gourmet. Good length. A wine full of finesse and minerality. Nice texture on the finish/persistence. A subtle hint of tonka bean in the background.
