The nose is beautifully built, racy, precise, straightness and offers a good definition, deepness and a multi-layered character. The wine needs to be decanted. It reveals notes of quite ripe (but pulpy) cassis, boysenberry and small notes of pulpy small blue fruits associated with touches of raspberry, cherry as well as fine hints of black pepper, colas, balsamic and a subtle hint of local grove. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, suavity, freshness, minerality, a certain gourmandise, accuracy, tension, precision, depth as well as elegance. A beautiful texture. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, fleshy cassis and small notes of creamy red berries associated with touches of violet, chocolate as well as a hint of balsamic, tonka bean, sense of the place (local biotope) and tobacco.
