Monteverro 2020 – Toscana IGT

Lovely nose, elegant, racy, precise and offers a certain intensity, a nice pepperiness, gourmandise, harmony as well as silkiness. It reveals notes of violet, Cubeb pepper and small notes of blackberry associated with touches of ripe / creamy berries. The palate is fruity and offers a tangy frame, gourmandise, a small creaminess, a tangy frame, tension as well as a certain roundness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of creamy blackberry, pulpy cassis and small notes of tangy red plum associated with touches of toasted, chocolatey, small blue fruits / pulpy blueberry as well as a hint of toasted hazelnut, blond tobacco, smoke and vanilla. The tannins are soft, tasty and gourmet. Good length. A nice soft finish. Good length. Nice persistence with a hint of toasted hazelnut. A little firm at the moment but it will soften over time.
