The wine has a pale ruby color, with garnet reflections. The nose offers a precise and elegant mineral framework (a touch of tar and limestone), associated with subtle herbaceous notes (hay, dried bay leaf, a touch of peppermint), as well as touches of dried rose and peony . The fruits on the nose are ripe and juicy: we find notes of wild blackberry, wild strawberry, crushed blackcurrant, fresh blueberry, bigarreau cherry and dried cranberries, complemented by a fine spiciness (liquorice, cardamom) and a slightly smoky touch of bergamot. The palate offers the finesse of tannins, at the same time tight, but enveloped by a juicy fruitiness, a lively acidity and pure fruits, associated with tasty but subtle spicy notes. We find the flavors of crushed blackcurrant, blueberry, bigarreau cherry, wild blackberry and morello cherry, associated with a mineral touch (graphite, dry limestone), herbaceous (dried bay leaf, dried thyme), smoky and floral notes (dried rose), as well as a hint of liquorice in the background. Beautiful length in the mouth, the finish is tight, but sapid and not drying, balanced by a salivating acidity. Finesse and delicacy, combined with controlled power.
