The nose is fruity and offers some small power and richness. There are notes of crushed blackcurrant, black plum and more lightly crushed raspberry combined with hints of dense/concentrated dark berries combined with fine touches of liquorice, vanilla and a subtle almost aniseed-like edge. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, smoothness, good definition, a certain gourmandize, freshness and some concentration. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed blackcurrant, pulpy/juicy black plum and more lightly ripe raspberry/small red berry combined with fine hints of crushed cherry, black berry and hints of blueberry, violet, liquorice and fine racy spice. Fine hints of cocoa powder on the finish. The tannins are very fine and powdery.
