Michel Vattan «M-K» 2023 – Sancerre

The wine has a very pale lemon yellow color, with slight green highlights. The nose is mineral, chalky and slightly smoky at the opening, with a certain gourmandise of stone fruits (apricot, white peach), a sweet touch of white flowers (apple blossom, hawthorn), as well as a tangy frame of yellow lemon, yellow lemon zest and green apple. There is also a touch of cut grass after aeration. The palate offers a rather round and gourmet attack, but remains fresh and chiseled. It expresses the flavors of white peach, tangy apricot, gooseberry, associated with notes of green apple, yellow lemon zest and crushed yellow lemon, as well as a sweet scent of apple blossom and hawthorn and a racy mineral frame (chalky, limestone, clay). The acidity is salivating and lively, good length on a pleasant grapefruit bitterness.
