Michel Vattan « B.C » 2019 – Sancerre

The wine has a bright ruby color, of medium intensity. The nose is concentrated, textured, fruity and slightly roasted. It expresses notes of roasted red cherry, roasted aromatic herbs, combined with the minty freshness of aromas of pine needles, dried peppermint and blackcurrant leaf in the background. There are also notes of fresh fruits (morello cherry, strawberry, raspberry, wild blackberry, blackcurrant, blueberry), sweet spices (liquorice, cardamom, nutmeg), fresh flowers (violet, wild rose), as well as a delicate tertiary touch (wet leaves, tobacco) and a gourmet chocolate hint (chocolate morello cherry, chocolate plum). The palate is silky, juicy, delicate and elegant, with a beautiful refined sapidity and a fresh fruity substance. It expresses notes of juicy morello cherry, red cherry, blackcurrant, blackberry, crushed raspberry and redcurrant in the background, combined with notes of sweet spices (nutmeg, liquorice, cardamom), fresh flowers (violet, a hint of cornflower and wild rose), peppermint, dry pine needles, as well as a tertiary hint of tobacco and wet leaves. The tannins are delicate, polished and melted, with an enveloping and very fine texture. Good persistence in the mouth, sapid and cocoa, with a refreshing acidity and a touch of balsamic.
