Michel Thomas Silex 2023 – Sancerre

Michel Thomas Silex 2023 – Sancerre

The wine has a pale lemon yellow color. The nose is luscious and fruity. It opens with notes of white peach, apricot and green apple, combined with a milky hint of lemon yogurt, as well as a tangy frame of fresh citrus (lime, grapefruit), complemented by a racy minerality of flint (limestone, flint smoke). There are also notes of white flowers (acacia, fresh linden) and a very delicate hint of honey. The palate is lively, tangy and chiseled, with opening notes of citrus (lemon, lime), green apple and tangy apricot. In the mid-palate, it expresses notes of green plum, the typical mineral side (limestone, flint), as well as notes of white flowers (apple blossom, linden). The finish is salivating, quite persistent, slightly sparkling and tangy, with notes of lime and grapefruit.
