Michel Girault, Les Beaux Regards 2022 – Sancerre

Michel Girault, Les Beaux Regards 2022 – Sancerre

The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is open, juicy and offers a beautiful burst of ripe fruit. It expresses notes of morello cherry, blackcurrant, crushed red cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry, combined with sweet notes of vanilla flower, iris, peony, mint syrup, as well as blackcurrant bud and juicy black plum in the background. The palate is juicy, airy and delicate, but has structured, fine-grained tannins. We find flavors of wild blackberry, morello cherry, wild strawberry, crushed raspberry and a distinct note of crushed blackcurrant, which reflects the aroma on the nose, as well as floral (iris, peony, violet) and herbaceous (blackcurrant bud, stalk, dried mint) touches. The finish is persistent, sapid, very juicy and fruity, with precision and a delicious freshness. Nice acidity and a good bitterness, tannic touch and sweetness of bird cherry jam.
