Michael Shaps Raisin d’Être White (100% Petit Manseng) – Monticello – 2017
The first nose is very nice with purity. There are notes of cooked apple, pineapple and mango. The second nose with aeration is also very clean and clear. The tasting is sweet and delicious. We can feel the nice acidity balancing the fruitiness with some fresh apple and juicy pineapple notes. Little by little, in the middle of the mouth, candied fruits are appearing with candied melon and a hint of honey. The finish is very long on dry fruits. This wine is enjoyable now but can also age thanks to its nice acidity. It is a very nice wine.
