The nose is aromatic and offers power, freshness as well as a good finesse of the grain. It reveals notes of ripe wild red berries, fresh wild cassis and small notes of spices, dried violet combined with slight hints of zan, Cuben pepper, discreet hints of fresh leather / dried orange as well as very discreet hints of scrubland / olive and sense of place. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a mineral frame as well as a fine tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of ripe cassis, ripe raspberry and small notes of ripe small red fruits associated with fine touches of spices, toasted, juicy boysenberry, undergrowth as well as a subtle hint of caramelization, spices, black olive and an imperceptible hint of ripe almond. A very discreet / imperceptible hint of chocolate and gourmandize on the finish.
