The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is aromatic, opening with spicy, roasted, and chocolatey notes. Aromas of chocolate-covered morello cherry, vanilla, toasted hazelnut, roasted red cherry, and roasted bouquet garni are notably present, which are then complemented by aromas of tart red cherry, strawberry, crushed raspberry, and cranberry syrup, as well as dried mint, liquorice, and rose petals. The palate offers a tangy and fruity, yet tight attack, due to the firm tannic structure and a fine, yet gripping, texture of tannins. It expresses flavors of red cherry, cranberry, raspberry, and liquorice, with a gourmand hint of mint chocolate, toasted hazelnut, and cocoa nibs in the background. The finish offers sapidity, salivating acidity and fruity and spicy flavors on the persistence, as well as the bitterness of tea with bergamot.
