Mazzei – 40 Concerto di Fonterutoli 2021 – Toscana IGT

The nose is racy, elegant, spicy and offers a nice intensity (full of finesse) of the grain. We find notes of pulpy blackcurrant and small wild fruits associated with touches of pepper, nutmeg as well as fine hints of black olive and discreet toasted. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, freshness, tension, precision, a good definition as well as a nice salinity / iodized side. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy / juicy blackberry, pulpy small blue fruits and small notes of crushed raspberry associated with saline / iodized touches as well as discreet toasted hints. Tannins are supple and racy. Good length. A fine mellowness. Nice freshness and suppleness.
