Mazzarosa – Vere Novo 2020 – Montepulciano D’Abruzzo

The nose offers concentration, a certain power and a slight sappy side. It reveals notes of bigarreau cherry, violet and small notes of olive tree associated with touches of pulpy purple plum as well as hints of sage, ripe small fruits and sweet spices. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, suavity, a mineral frame, a good definition, a certain gourmandize, precision, energy as well as a slight sappy side in the background. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/ fresh cherry, crunchy cassis and small notes of olive tree associated with touches of small red fruits, sap as well as hints of sage and a discreet hint of tonka bean and racy minerality. Good length.
