Masseria Piccirillo – Arausta 2022 Pallagrello Nero – Terre del Volturno

Masseria Piccirillo – Arausta 2022 Pallagrello Nero – Terre del Volturno

The nose is fruity and offers intensity, freshness and power in accuracy/mastery. There are notes of brilliant wild cassis, brilliant black cherry and small notes of small, finely roasted-elegant fruits, associated with fine touches of balsamic, crushed black plum, as well as fine hints of black pepper (in the background) and an imperceptible hint of almost aromatic herbs. The palate is nicely fresh, mineral, balanced, chiselled, precise, juicy and offers a fresh frame, acidity, energy and a crystalline side. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/fresh cassis, juicy/fruity violet plum and small notes of violet, combined with touches of small brilliant red berries, fine hints of tonka bean, almond, as well as a hint of almost tobacco, a subtle hint of almost sense of the place (local biotop), discreetly black olive, cornflower, star anise and a discreet creamy hint. Beautiful, precise, racy and mellow tannins. A very discreet hint of sappy in the background. A lovely modern wine, on the fruit and precise.
