Masseria Piccirillo – Arausta 2019 Pallagrello Nero – Terre del Volturno

Masseria Piccirillo – Arausta 2019 Pallagrello Nero – Terre del Volturno

The nose is fruity, deep, delicate, bewitching, with depth and offers a delicate powderiness. It reveals notes of bright cassis, small brilliant blue fruits and small notes of roasted-elegant strawberry, associated with fine hints of tobacco, cubeb pepper, graphene, as well as discreet peppery hints, a hint of maceration and balsamic. A very discreet hint of earthiness in the background. The palate is fruity, balanced, tangy and offers a fresh frame, suppleness, minerality, a certain depth, unctuosity and accuracy. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cassis, violet and small notes of cornflower, combined with touches of small bright red fruits, as well as fine hints of balsamic, dried black olive and a discreet hint of rosemary. The tannins are precise, sapid and elegant. Subtle chewiness on the finish. Precision and accuracy.
