| On the nose, aromatic and offers a nice finesse of grain, some power (in delicacy), a little concentration as well as a fine intensity and a nice spicy side. It reveals notes of small wild red berries, bursting blackcurrant and more lightly cherry combined with hints of plum blossom, cherry pit as well as fine zan, cinnamon, sweet spice, tobacco, a discreet hint of laurel berries/dry local grove, toast, black olive and an imperceptible hint of pepper. On the palate, fruity, balanced and offers a juicy/mineral frame, good definition, some gourmandise as well as tension, depth, concentration, a nice tight grain, pulpy/tasty fruit, some generosity and a little fleshiness/moistiness. The wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy raspberry, small fleshy wild red berries and more lightly crushed blackberry, morello cherry, juicy black plum combined with hints of toastiness, tonka bean/chocolate, tapenade as well as fine vanilla, toastiness, herbs, an imperceptible hint of bay leaf and olive. The tannins are structuring, well conducted and slightly polished. |
