The nose is fruity, full and relatively powerful. It reveals notes of blackberries, flowers (violets, a discreet hint of cornflower) and blueberry associated with fine notes of red berries in the background (strawberry, raspberry), clay minerality as well as discreet toasted hints. The wine needs to be aerated in the glass or to be served in carafe. The palate is fruity, fine, elegant, quite gourmand, quite fleshy, relatively powerful and offers a good definition and an unctuous matter. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed blackberry, blueberry and a hint of plum associated with a fine touch of crushed strawberry, raspberry, toasted oak, sweet spices and a discreet note of licorice / zan. Tannins are fine, slightly firm and structuring. Good length.
