The wine wins if it is decanted. The nose reveals notes of Boysenberry, fresh rose / violet and more slightly pulpy cassis associated with touches of strawberry as well as hints of fresh local grove, discreet hints of thyme and a hint of gray pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, an acidulous frame, a fine creaminess as well as a small fat. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy / juicy cassis, juicy / tangy raspberry and more slightly of small pulpy red currants associated with touches of violet, lavender, rose as well as hints of tonka bean, to a subtle hint of almond and a very discreet hint of peony (in the background). Tannins are finely marked.
