Mas Cal Demoura – Les Combariolles 2018 – Terrasses du Larzac

The nose is fruity and offers a very fine concentration, a racy minerality as well as gourmandize. It reveals notes of bright bigarreau cherry, ripe violet plum, small notes of violet, Boysen berry, small ripe black fruits as well as very discreet hints of liquorice (in the background), sense of the place, tea and a subtle hint of pepper. The palate is fruity, racy and offers concentration, a small acidulous frame, a small power and deepness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy wild cassis, bright blackberry, small notes of redcurrant associated with touches of bright violet plum as well as small hints of spices, tonka bean/mocha, toasted, cardamom, discreet hints of black olive, olive tree, roasted and caramelization (in the background). Good length. Tannins are precise and structuring.
