Mas Amiel – Oiseaux Rares 2022 – AOC Maury Sec

Beautiful and racy nose that offers a good definition as well as a lovely finesse and complexity in its deepness. It reveals notes of candy cherry, quite ripe raspberry and small notes of ripe/fresh blackcurrant associated with touches of schist, liquorice stick as well as a subtle hint of red pepper and blue plum. The palate is nicely fresh, mineral and offers a tangy frame, freshness, tension, a beautiful definition, suavity as well as suppleness. A lbeautiful three-dimensional/multi-layered characters. A discreet and beautiful work on the good bitterness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of red cherry, raspberry and small notes of bright wild red berries associated with a touch of rosewood, fresh local scrubland as well as an almost eucalyptus hint and fresh pepper. Tannins are fresh and sapid. Good length. Nice fresh-powdery finish. Beautiful bitterness and a hint of bitter orange peel in the background.
