The nose is nicely on the rancio and offers energy as well as a fine incisive side. There are notes of dried mandarin, juniper berries and small notes of dry kumquat associated with hints of Timut pepper, a subtle hint of sage as well as a very discreet hint of crème brûlée. The palate is beautifully fruity, fresh, taut, elegant, racy, precise and offers energy as well as accuracy. Beautifully juicy. On the palate this wine expresses notes of mango, dried apricot, bright berries and small notes of candied Amalfi lemon associated with fine hints of rhubarb, juniper berries, a hint of sage, fresh rancio as well as a subtle almost citrus flowers hint, blood orange and fresh walnut. Beautifully persistent and sapid. Presence of a subtle sappy and iodized hint in the background.
