The nose needs to be decanted. It reveals notes of boysenberry, tangy/pulpy wild strawberry and small notes of almost roasted small fruits associated with a hint of small blue fruits, star anise, a subtle hint of sappyness and a discreet hint of clove. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, precision, roundness and a beautiful coating side, a slight aerial side in its fat as well as an acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cherry, bright redcurrant and small notes of violet plum associated with hints of star anise, lily, chocolate as well as slight hints of local undergrowth. Tannins are precise, straight and mellow. Beautiful sapid and gourmande persistence.
