Marrone Barolo 2021 – Barolo

Marrone Barolo 2021 – Barolo

The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is expressive and opens with notes of leather and smoke. After aeration, it expresses aromas of fruit (roasted cherry, dried cranberries, juicy morello cherry, crushed raspberry), flowers (lily, dried rose, violet), as well as dried wild herbs, toasted almond and coffee, with a herbaceous touch of dried rose stem, mint and dried tea. The palate is tight, but not dry, well structured. The attack offers fruity flavors (morello cherry, crushed black plum, raspberry, red cherry, blackcurrant), associated with a smoky, roasted touch (coffee, dark chocolate, toasted almond), a tangy, bitter and smoky hint of bergamot, as well as nutmeg, black pepper and dried wild flowers in the background. Tannins are polished, with chew and a solid structure. Good persistence and salivating acidity.
