The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers aromatic intensity and gourmandise of juicy fruit. It expresses notes of red cherry, crushed blackcurrant, fresh raspberry, fresh cranberries, blueberry, associated with notes of wild mint, even menthol, fresh thyme, rosemary, dry pine needles, as well as as floral aromas of dried rose and iris, sweet spices (liquorice, crushed cardamom, nutmeg) and a touch of torrefaction in the background (toasted oak, toasted hazelnut). The palate is supple, but with firmness, thanks to a tight, gourmand, fruity and sapid tannin structure. It expresses notes of wild strawberry, fresh red cherry (with a side of roasted cherry), fresh cranberries, raspberry coulis, a distinct but delicate spiciness (liquorice, cloves, white pepper), floral notes (dried rose, iris), a mineral touch (graphite) and herbal notes in the background (dried mint, dried rosemary). The tannins offer a fine texture and good bitterness. The finish is persistent, slightly drying, but with a gourmand fruitiness. A refined, precise and fresh wine.
