The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is closed at first and benefits from being airated. It then expresses notes of black plum, morello cherry, red cherry, crushed strawberry and red plum, blackberry, associated with notes of dark chocolate, a touch of dried aromatic herbs (dried thyme, dried mint) , as well as a fine minerality (dry stone, limestone), a fine spiciness (vanilla, liquorice) and a hint of lilac in the background. The palate is supple, round and offers a certain depth and concentration of fruit. It expresses notes of crushed blackberry, blackcurrant, black plum, morello cherry, cherry in chocolate, wild strawberry and crushed raspberry, associated with savoury notes of sweet spices (vanilla, nutmeg, liquorice), dried mint and lilac. The tannins have a fine grain and a firm structure. The finish is sapid, chocolatey and quite persistent. The acidity is soft, but refreshing. A balanced and gourmand wine.
