The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is gourmand, concentrated and warm, even jammy. It expresses notes of ripe blackcurrant (see blackcurrant jam), roasted red cherry, chocolate morello cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry coulis, associated with notes of sweet spices (cinnamon, clove, licorice), torrefaction (mild coffee, toasted hazelnut), as well as dried mint, blond tobacco and dried cornflower. The palate is fleshy, ample and round, with very fine and melted tannins, as well as a supple, but quite refreshing acidity. We find notes of morello cherry, morello cherry jam, blackberry, wild strawberry, roasted red cherry, blackcurrant jam, as well as mint chocolate, licorice, clove and cinnamon, combined with a touch of cornflower and iris in the background. The finish is persistent, enveloping, generous and gourmand. A rich and robust wine, but with a certain finesse.
