The wine has a medium-intensity ruby color, with very light garnet reflections. The nose is textured, complex and concentrated. It expresses a nice fruitiness: notes of wild blackberry (with a sweet hint of blackberry jam), blueberry, blackcurrant (blackcurrant seeds and jam), morello cherry, red cherry and redcurrant jelly, combined with a distinct but refined spiciness (liquorice, ground cumin, clove, a hint of dried vanilla), fine woody touches (toasted hazelnut, fresh almond), as well as a gourmet and fresh note of chocolate with mint. After aeration, we find subtle tertiary notes of dried leaves and dried rose. The palate offers a fresh and tangy attack, with notes of red cherry, fresh blackcurrant and fresh raspberry, combined with touches of blueberry, morello cherry and strawberry. On the mid-palate, we find a fresh menthy hint (mint, chocolate with mint), spicy touches (liquorice, ground cumin, nutmeg), chocolate and toasted hazelnut. The finish is lively and tangy, with notes of bigarreau cherry, fresh blackcurrant and pine needles in the background. Good length, with tertiary notes of tobacco, dried leaves and dried rose, which we feel in the retro. The tannins are velvety and well-constructed. Complexity and freshness.
