Marchesi Vineyard – Amodomio 2015 – Columbia Valley

The nose is fruity, well-balanced, well-built and offers a slight power (in the background) as well as a slight concentration. It reveals notes of crème de cassis and blackberry associated with slight touches of very ripe raspberry, redcurrant sweet as well as a slight woody hint, Sichuan pepper and chocolate. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, suave, silky, nicely built and offers tension, gourmandise, a slight aerial aspect, a beautiful roundness/volume as well as a nice structure. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of ripe raspberry associated with slight touches of cacao, woody touches as well as subtle hints of almond, subtle toasted hints, chocolate and woody hints. Good length. A beautiful wine !
