Marcel Couturier Pouilly-Loché Vieilles Vignes 2022 – Pouilly-Loché

(organic) The wine has a lemon yellow color of medium intensity. The nose offers density and complexity. It first expresses herbaceous and floral notes reminiscent of a slight tertiary side (tobacco, a very light touch of mushrooms, saffron and brewed tea), which is then completed by integrated spicy notes (nutmeg, cloves). ground, a hint of vanilla and star anise in the background. Then, we find notes of dried lemon, candied lemon, roasted apple in the background, crushed yellow plum, ripe apricot and yellow peach, associated with notes of linden honey, vanilla and toasted (wood, hazelnut) in the background. The palate is delicious, round, fruity and generous. The fruity flavors are ripe and concentrated, which gives an impression of sweetness – there are notes of ripe apricot, yellow peach, roasted apple, citrus jam, candied lemon peel, as well as honey, wax, fresh tobacco, tea infusion, linden and saffron, combined with a fine spiiness, less pronounced than on the nose. The finish is very long, straight, chiseled and fresh. It expresses a firm structure, a sharp acidity of the wine, as well as its tension. A complex and vibrant wine.
