Maison Piron – Les Charmes 2022 – Morgon

Beautiful elegant nose, aerial and tense. There are notes of violet, fresh tabacco and small notes of small blue fruits associated with touches of crushed strawberry as well as slight almost mineral/ rocky hints and a hint of tonka beans, a beautiful sharpness and stretched. The mouth is beautifully juicy, fresh, well-balanced, beautifully stretched/ tense/ sharp and offers an acidulous frame, precision, tension, a beautiful brightness of the fruit as well as a beautiful freshness. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy/ fresh purple plum, pulpy/ juicy cherry and small notes of crushed red berries associated with touches of fresh flowers, a subtle almost sage hint in the background as well as slight hints of liquorice stick and badian. Power on the finish. Beautiful charming, mineral and tense wine. Suppleness and a certain roundness. Beautiful persistence with a discreet hint of good bitterness/ sapiness in the background.
