Maison Patrick Giboulot – Les Fichots 2019 – Pernand-Vergelesse 1er Cru

The nose is fruity, complex, racy and offers richness (full of finesse) and a beautiful finesse of the grain. It reveals notes of blueberry, cassis cream, small notes of crushed strawberry associated with small touches of cornflower, violet, lily, cuben pepper, wax as well as fine hints of green cardamom, sweet spices, a hint of clove and vanilla pod. The palate is fruity, beautifully juicy, gourmand, delicate, stretchy/full of length and offers a beautiful guideline, a small aerial side, richness, suavity, a beautiful finesse as well as a small freshness and a beautiful acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy cassis, creamy blueberry, small notes of fleshy/juicy raspberry associated with small touches of cherry, violet, cornflower/lilac as well as fine hints of caramelization, chocolate, toasted hazelnut, a discreet hint of camphor, a racy minerality and an imperceptible iodine hint (brings sapidity on the finish).
