The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is silky, fruity and gourmand, even textured and velvety. It expresses notes of ripe strawberry, juicy red cherry, morello cherry, crushed raspberry and blueberry, combined with a pleasant menthol hint (fresh mint, a touch of dried eucalyptus), notes of sweet spices (liquorice, a hint of star anise, ground cumin and white pepper). After aeration, we also find notes of fresh blackcurrant, rosemary and a hint of blackcurrant leaf, which brings a delicate herbaceous touch. The toasted aromas (toasted hazelnut) are enveloped and very slightly perceptible. We also smell a fragrant floral bouquet (violet, lily, peony), which appears as the wine opens up. The palate offers accuracy, straightness, a chiseled tanginess, as well as a good bitterness. It expresses notes of tart red cherry, bird cherry, morello cherry, tangy strawberry, raspberry and blueberry, associated with herbaceous notes of dried mint and eucalyptus, rosemary, as well as hints of coffee and toasted almond which bring a good bitterness. The spicy side (liquorice, white pear, cumin) is delicate and enveloped. The tannins are tight and firm, but with a fine grain. The finish is persistent, tangy, with a good bitterness. A perfumed wine, with an elegant and aromatic nose and a solid palate.
