Madrevite La Bisbetica Rosè 2023 – Umbria IGT Rosato

(Trasimeno Gamay) The wine has an orange color, with copper reflections. The nose expresses pleasant touches of strawberry, lactic notes of strawberry yogurt, as well as peony, wild rose, hints of clementine juice and zest, a gourmet touch of apricot, soft caramel and toffee, as well as candied lemon peel, and a delicate minerality. The palate is incisive, tense, with a distinguished calcareous, saline, even iodised mineral notes. It expresses flavours of juice and zest of lemon, grapefruit and nutmeg in the background. We also find gourmand notes of vine peach, pear drops, red currants, dried red cherry, as well as a pleasant bitterness of bitter almond and a sharp acidity. Nice structure and expression, the finish is long and floral, with notes of wild rose and lily in the background, as well as lively acidity, salinity and minerality which characterise the profile of the wine.
