The nose is powered and offers a certain intensity of the grain, a certain elegance as well as race. There are notes of boysenberry, wild purple plum and small notes of Sichuan pepper associated with touches of clove, dry plum and discreet hints of tobacco and dry olive tree. The mouth is fresh and offers minerality of the fruit, balance and a beautiful pulpiness/ juiciness of the fruit. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of pulpy/bright purple plum, bright raspberry and small notes of bright cherry associated with almost fresh blueberry touches, fresh flowers, cardamom as well as slight hints of olive tree leaf. Sapid and chewy tannins. Good length. A very discreet coffee hint in the background. A subtle hint of sense of place (local biotop)/ good varietal bitterness in the background.
