The nose is fresh, racy, mineral and offers power and concentration. It reveals notes of black cherry, violet and small notes of plum associated with fine hints of laurel / dry local forest soil (sense of place), liquorice stick as well as very discreet hints of ripe wild strawberry and Cuben pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, a bit tight and offers a good definition, a fine juiciness, suavity as well as tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of black cherry, blueberry, violet and small notes of Quetsche plum associated with small touches of ripe/crushed redcurrants, cherry as well as subtle hints of liquorice. Tannins are a bit firm and structuring.
