Loudenne Le Château 2016 – Médoc, Cru Bourgeois

The nose is fruity, racy and offers a fine gourmandize, a fine concentration as well as a fine grain. It reveals notes of ripe cassis, griotte and more slightly blackberry associated with touches of liquorice, crushed strawberry as well as fine hints of vanilla, violet, toasted and a very discreet hint of pepper. The palate is fruity, fresh, mineral, well-balanced, well-built and offers a fine juiciness, a good definition, a fine tension as well as elegance. On the palate this wine expresses notes of griotte, ripe cassis and more slightly ripe/fleshy small black berries associated with touches of very ripe strawberry, blackberry as well as fine hints of liquorice, violet as well as discreet hints of toasted, cardamom an an imperceptible hint of Sichuan pepper (in the background). Tannins are well-built. Good length. There is an imperceptible saline hint in the background/on the finish.
