L’Exception 1600, Récolte 2023 – Lussac Saint-Emilion

The nose is fruity, aromatic, fresh and offers a certain power of the grain as well as a velvety side. It reveals notes of boysenberry, Sichuan pepper and small notes of blueberry associated with touches of wild strawberry, small ripe wild fruits as well as discreet almost balsamic hints (in the background). The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, suavity, a mineral frame, a good definition of gourmandise, a fine tension, precision, suppleness and aromatic purity, a stretched/straight side in elegance. It expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, pulpy/bright blackcurrant and small notes of tangy/pulpy violet plum associated with touches of small bright fruits, tonka bean, tobacco and a hint of nutmeg. Good length, nice juiciness and gourmandise, freshness and minerality.
