The nose is gourmand, chocolatey and slightly sweet. It expresses notes of dark chocolate, chocolate morello cherry, ripe morello cherry, red cherry in jam, black plum with a hint of prunes as well as crushed cassis and juicy blackberry notes. We also find notes of toasted hazelnut, mint chocolate, toasted oak, dried pine bark and dried pine needles, a hint of fresh tobacco and bergamot tea (dry tea) and a hint of peony in the background, liquorice and toasted vanilla. The palate is juicy, airy (on the fluidity and lightness in a good way), with a good bitterness of bird cherry and cocoa, the acidity of nibs which complement the fruity flavors (chocolate morello cherry, ripe morello cherry, red cherry, black plum, red cherry jam, cassis). We also find a herbaceous and spicy touch of liquorice on the persistence. The tannins are well constructed, with a fine grain. Freshness and juiciness, elegance and gourmandise. A touch of crushed cassis on the persistence.
