Les Vignes Oubliés 2022 – Terrasses du Larzac

The nose is fresh, racy, tense, precise and offers a beautiful racy and stretched grain. There are notes of wild strawberry, concentrated wild blackberry and small notes of quite ripe small red fruits associated with slight blond tabaco touches, smoke, cherry blossom, racy minerality as well as discreet hint of pepper and « sens of place » (local biotop). The mouth is fresh, mineral, full of precision, well-built and offers a beautiful finesse of the grain, a certain straightness in finesse as well as brightness/ juiciness of the fruit. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of bright/ juicy cherry, pulpy raspberry and small notes of small fruits almost slightly roasted associated with floral touches as well as hints of laurel berries, smoke and a subtle hint of vanilla and liquorice. An imperceptible hint almost iodine and sap in the background. Elegant, sapid and slightly chewy tannins. Beautiful minerality and freshness. Full of precision. A hint of good bitterness/ noble varietal in the background.
