The nose is aromatic, fruity and offers complexity, a fine creaminess, a nice finesse of grain as well as airiness. There are notes of crème de cassis, violet and, more slightly, violet plum, combined with touches of graphite, racy minerality and fine hints of crushed currants, cardamom, tonka bean and a subtle hint of nutmeg. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, acidity, good definition, a certain gourmandise, a fine richness/creaminess as well as airiness in the approach. On the palate this wine expresses notes of creamy blackcurrant, creamy blue plum and more slightly fleshy strawberry combined with touches of blueberry, hints of tonka bean, star anise as well as fine hints of pulpy/fresh raspberry, racy minerality, graphite and a discreet hint of incense. Good length. A very discreet, almost saline/sapid finish.
