Les Pensées 2020 – Pomerol

The fruity nose with a nice aerial density, an elegant gourmandise and a nice acidity. There is a beautiful purity of the fruit with notes of morello cherries, blueberries and small notes of blackberries associated with small silky red fruits, small acid blue fruits and a discreet hint of rose. We perceive a beautiful floral complexity and almost a very discreet fresh incense note. The palate is fruity with an acid frame and a nice definition, precision. There are gourmandise, smoothness, straightness, accuracy and fine roundness. We find the pretty floral side more than fruity with notes of small blue fruits, gingerbread qnd small notes of tonka bean or even mocha associated with delicate and complex floral notes. We taste the concentration and the density in elegance, it is aerial. Notes of fresh tangy currants appear with bright, pulpy blue berries and a discreet hint of toasted almond, fresh hazelnut and almost saline, even iodized, gravels. Nice works on good bitters, especially those of cocoa. The tannins are supple, stretched and sapid with a little softness. The wine is delicate, silky, very discreetly tight, almost a bit bloody in the background, with a discreet noble varietal notes.
