The nose is fruity and reveals richness, intensity/concentration, a fine floral character. There are notes of boysenberry, crushed strawberry and more lightly roasted berries combined with hints of star anise, caramelisation, lily, a subtle hint of serenity and an imperceptible hint of sweet blond tobacco. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, acidity, good definition, energy, tension, sapidity, and good work on the bitter taste. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/fresh blackberry, raspberry and more lightly red berry notes combined with hints of fresh flowers as well as fine tonka bean, sweet blond tobacco, and a subtle caramelised hint. The tannins are sapid and fresh. A nice suave and gourmet persistence.
