Les Forts de Latour 2017 – Pauillac

The nose is fruity and offers crunchiness as well as a beautiful finesse of the grain. It reveals notes of cassis, wild blackberry and more slightly flowers (violet, lilac) associated with fine/discreet touches of liquorice, sweet spices as well as subtle/discreet hints of graphite and an imperceptible hint of pepper. The palate is fruity, juicy, well-balanced, elegant and offers a beautiful definition, a fine acid frame, a beautiful juiciness, a good definition, a beautiful precision, a very fine fleshiness, dynamism, freshness as well as a beautiful grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy cassis, fleshy/juicy wild strawberry and juicy/ripe redcurrant associated with discreet touches of cherry, small wild berries as well as discreet hints of toasted, sweet spices, flowers, sugared mild tobacco and very discreet hints of dark chocolate (in the background). Good length.
